My 3 year old niece loves them but she's grown up watching sesame street educatonal dvd's, and hearing me read <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_the_Wild_Things_Are" rel="nofollow">Where the Wild things are</a>, and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cat_In_The_Hat" rel="nofollow">Cat in the Hat</a>. Has she ever seen Disney's Monsters Inc? If she liked that I can't see a major difference between that and the muppets.., Perhaps the 5 year old wasn’t exposed to the muppets at an early enough age?
